The Duke Pitchforks return to Charleston for the tenth year for another phenomenal performance benefiting HALOS. Each year, the all-male a capella group delights the audience with a range of songs from contemporary hits to old standards. The Pitchforks’ past 2 albums have each won the CARA award for Best Male Collegiate Album in the nation.

We are excited to announce this year we will be joined by Ann Caldwell & The Magnolia Singers!

Ann Caldwell & The Magnolia Singers perform Gullah spirituals and stories indigenous to the South Carolina Lowcountry.  The singers perform a beautiful blend of spirituals a cappella . The Charleston based group has been singing together since 1998. The Magnolia Singers have performed for Nobel Peace Prize winner, Toni Morrison, emmy-award winner, Phylicia Rashad, Charleston Mayor Joe Riley, nationally acclaimed artist Jonathan Green and actor Isaiah Washington.

Ann Caldwell & The Magnolia Singers have appeared on the Today Show and Good Morning America. In 2008 they were commissioned by producer and director Gayla Jamison to record original music to be used for the soundtracks for a documentary about Julia Peterkin entitled “Cheating the Night”.

Don’t miss this incredible night of music for people of all ages! All proceeds from this event will benefit kinship children and families served by HALOS!
