Sleep Tight Campaign
Sometimes, caregivers for abused and neglected children
lack the basic necessities to provide safe, secure homes
for their children. But without beds or cribs for each child
in a household, children cannot stay with their families
and forced into foster care.
At HALOS, we make it a priority to prevent this from happening.
Through our Sleep Tight Campaign, we partner with the Harmony
Project to raise awareness of this problem and enable anyone
in the community to help keep abused and neglected children
in the care of relatives who love them. A simple donation
of gently used beds or cribs can change everything for a
needy family.
Your donation of gently used beds and cribs can literally
mean the difference between keeping families together and
watching them be torn apart when children are placed in foster
care.
Our partnership with the Harmony Project on the Sleep Tight
Campaign allows us to consolidate resources and achieve more
than either group could independently. This program furthers
our mission to provide resources to abused and neglected
children, while also achieving the Harmony Project’s
goal to promote a sustainable community. We supply desperately
needed beds and cribs to needy families, and the Harmony
Project keeps perfectly good furniture out of landfills.
In addition to beds and cribs, you can also donate other
household items such as linens, strollers, toys, and other
items. These are not as essential as beds and cribs, but
they can go a long way to improve the living conditions for
families in your community.
All you need to do to donate is contact us at 953-3715.
The Harmony Project maintains a delivery truck to pick up
items and deliver them to the homes where they are needed. |
