Donate
If you can’t donate your time as a
volunteer or HALOS partner, you can still help improve the lives
of children in Charleston County with monetary donations. So
many needs are left unfulfilled for abused and neglected children,
and every penny you give makes a difference.
With your donations, HALOS can address the most urgent needs
at any given time, or you can direct donations to sponsor
children in one of our annual programs and keep children
safe during summer break, spread cheer during the holidays
and on birthdays, and prepare children at the start of the
school year. For more information about our programs, contact
Kate Nyquist at kate@charlestonhalos.org.
And if you can’t afford a monetary donation, you can
still make a difference with household items that are crucial
to children and their caregivers. When you donate cribs,
beds, and other household items, you not only improve the
quality of life for struggling families in your community,
but you can make the difference between keeping a child with
family members and placing the child in foster care. If caregivers
don’t have cribs or beds for each child in their care,
then the children are forced into the foster care system.
Your donation of essential household items such as beds can
make a world of difference for a struggling family. For more
